Event Held April 17-24, 2023
Nine students and two T3 Alliance trainers came together in Shishmaref, Alaska to do hands-on STEM that integrates their culture and community. Building wooden boats and airplanes, students progressed to flying drones and making artifacts from seal and caribou hides “tufting’ with beadwork; a very traditional skill in their community. This 8-day event gave students time to show evidence of their learning progression while having fun together and helping each other as a team.
