About the Symposium
The Alaska Safe Communities & Schools Symposium brings together school leaders, law enforcement, mental health professionals, and tribal representatives from across the state for four days of hands-on safety training in Fairbanks. Hosted by the Hydaburg City School District on behalf of a consortium of 52 Alaska school districts and community safety providers, the symposium is fully funded through the Edward Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (Byrne SCIP).
